About Us

A live band performing on stage at the Elks lodge. — Manville-Hillsborough Elks #2119
A live band performing on stage at the Elks lodge.

Since earning its charter, Elks Lodge #2119 has operated on a simple conviction: the best way to strengthen a community is to feed it, fund it, and show up for it. From Brooks Blvd in Hillsborough Township, this lodge has become one of Somerset County's most active fraternal organizations, drawing members and guests who keep coming back for the atmosphere as much as the mission.

The social side is real. Members consistently point to great drinks, live music, and the kind of easy camaraderie that is genuinely hard to find. With a 4.6-star rating across dozens of reviews, the lodge earns that score through consistency, not luck. Regulars know the bar, the events calendar, and the faces behind both.

The giving side runs even deeper. Throughout the year, Elks #2119 organizes pig roasts, clam bakes, and spaghetti dinners that double as fundraisers for local families navigating hardship. When you join, you are not signing up for a club, you are joining a family that takes that word seriously.

What We Offer

The lodge runs a full social calendar built around events that are genuinely fun and financially purposeful. Pig roasts, clam bakes, and spaghetti dinners pack the hall and put real money toward families in need across the Manville and Hillsborough area. These are not stuffy charity galas, they are Saturday-night events with food, drinks, and neighbors who know your name.

Beyond the big fundraisers, the lodge offers a welcoming bar and lounge for members, hosts private events and milestone celebrations, and provides a gathering space for the kind of face-to-face community that is increasingly rare. Membership in the BPOE opens the door to national Elks benefits, youth programs, and veterans initiatives while keeping your investment local.

Prospective members are encouraged to visit, meet current members, and see the lodge firsthand. Events are periodically open to the public, making it easy to experience the community before committing.

"If I could give you no stars I would!!! My Dad was a proud member for over 50years. He also owned the Flower Gallery in Manville for 37 years. He provided the Ivy for members that passed and the wreaths for Memorial day. On Thanksgiving Day 11/22/2018 he passed. His funeral was not till the following Saturday. The Elks were notified and we asked them to do the memorial presentation at the funeral home for him. They sent the most ignorant members they could. Not only did they sound like a bunch of insipid idiots trying to get through the memorial dedication, they pronounced our last name wrong numerous times!!! The clock chime was on a cell phone and the kicker is they had no IVY to give my Dad!!!! He provided the IVY to the passed members for 37 years!! My Mom was so embarrassed she stopped them and told them she provided the flowers and Ivy to the Elks for years, but yet they couldn't get any for my Dad!!! My point is Your Organization was represented by a bunch of idiots and they embarrassed my family at my father's funeral. I will NEVER support your organization again and am appalled they the Elks didn't even apologize to my Mom for being unprepared and embarrassing my family and your organization!!!!!!!!"

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
